As a consultant, he has personally mentored more than 100 C-level executives and business leaders across a number of industries, ranging from federal agencies and non-profits to public and private corporations.
Before founding Pragmatium Consulting Group, Haris had already been involved in leading consultancy projects. At NYU, where he earned his BA in economics and politics, he showed that he had a talent for helping others, using his acquired negotiation and skill with numbers to assist student organizations and student-led enterprises in managing their affairs. He built and maintained good relations with other students, many of which would later join large companies and get Haris’ leadership consulting services.
Haris started his career as a group underwriter at Aetna before embarking on his first foray into consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led large transformation initiatives in change management and human resources. He moved to Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Willis Towers Watson), where he served as a senior consultant to a number of key accounts in the fields of management consulting.
While he was with Watson Wyatt, Haris went to the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, where he earned his MBA (cum laude), focusing on strategy and leadership. He once told a classmate at Notre Dame that he liked working with people in leadership positions, and his classmate suggested that he major in leadership and strategy to understand how leaders think. During his time at Notre Dame, he was exposed to different leadership styles and business strategies as taught by top practitioners in the field. He also built a network of contacts within the business community, particularly among C-level executives and start-up founders.
After earning his MBA, he worked as a consultant with Hewitt Associates then became a Principal with Oliver Wyman, where he started collaborating with senior executives in changing organizational designs and improving leadership effectiveness.
Finally, he decided to strike it out on his own.
